Sustainability
Stripes is dedicated to providing our customers with transparent details on our manufacturing and its processes. Stripes strives to be as ethical and environmentally conscious in its practices as possible.
As a small project we intentionally produce in small scale, limited run productions to reduce waste and limit over-production. Stripes manufactures all its items in London and is committed to supporting the local manufacturers and businesses who produce our items. As manufacturing is based locally, we are able to visit with and form relationships with the people who produce our designs.
Stripes uses only deadstock fabrics or majority sustainable fibres in its designs in an effort to be environmentally conscious. All deadstock fabrics are supplied as end of line meaning that they would have gone to waste otherwise. This means we are able to turn these fabrics into something beautiful that can be cherished by our customers rather than it being left in landfill. We consciously make an effort to use at least 70% regenerative, recycled or eco-concious fibres in our other designs. This means that these fabrics are made with a reduced impact on the planet and even after you’ve stopped wearing them, they can be recycled or even bio-degrade.
Stripes uses 100% recyclable or biodegradeable packaging for all its orders.
